Vintage Platinum Engagement Ring with Neon Purple Sapphire

This fantastic Art Deco platinum engagement ring is set with the finest natural purple sapphire we have ever offered. This is an unusual gem; it is not a color-changing sapphire nor the classic purple sapphire shade (either a light purple or amethyst-hue). This neon dark bluish purple sapphire holds its color under all lighting conditions. The color is so intense, and the gem so brilliant that it sparkles with blue and red flashes- indeed a unicorn of a gem- the only one we have ever seen like it. The 6mm cushion gem is set into an original antique platinum setting, with a small trio of single-cut diamonds on either shoulder. The sapphire is set with fish-tail prongs, which give the ring a more square look on the hand. The ring is low profile and beautiful, and would make a fantastic purple sapphire engagement ring.
