Vintage Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Engagement Ring

Anyone who has ever seen a cornflower or bachelor’s button flower knows that their vibrant blue color is unmatched in the garden world. This sapphire is the closest representation of that stunning hue we have encountered. Mined and set over 50 years ago when cornflower blue sapphires were more readily available, this untreated natural sapphire is now a highly sought-after gem that is sure to capture attention.

The stone showcases a bright, medium blue hue, faintly tinged with lavender—a classic trait of sapphires from Ceylon, Sri Lanka. The large sapphire is elegantly set in a white gold ring mount, complemented by diamond accents on either side. Originally designed as a right-hand ring, we believe it would also make a fabulous vintage sapphire engagement ring.
