Victorian Old Mine Cut Diamond Belcher Ring 18k

Hailing from across the Atlantic, this fantastic antique diamond ring is complete with hallmarks for London, England, circa 1890. The low-profile gold mounting is similar to a “belcher setting” in that the prongs rise from the shank; however, this one adds finesse to the sculpted design and openwork. The ring is set with a wonderfully sparkly Old Mine cut cushion diamond, which glistens in the light —a tremendous, chunky, cut-by-hand look. The ring is elegant on the hand while also being practical in its low-profile, solidly built design. While not a huge diamond or ring, this one has a solid presence on the hand and has terrific sparkle in low light. Currently, it is size 8, but it is sizeable for any size.
