Two-Tone Green Tourmaline & Diamond Pendant

This stunning pendant showcases a unique green tourmaline, making it a perfect piece for collectors of tourmalines and rare gemstones. Upon close inspection, you'll notice two distinct colors: a bright green and a dark forest green. This two-tone phenomenon in tourmaline is known as "dichroism." Unlike a color change effect or bicolor gem, dichroism occurs because the tourmaline crystal bends light at different wavelengths as it is rotated, resulting in one shade appearing on one axis and a different shade on another. The two shades can beautifully blend when a dichroic gem is cut at just the right angle to these axes. 

This particular green tourmaline has been custom-faceted into a cushion shape positioned perfectly between the two shades, resulting in a vibrant gemstone with multiple shades of green. It is set in a classic 14k white gold mount, adorned with a few diamonds for added sparkle, ensuring the focus remains on this rare and beautiful tourmaline.
