This elegant pendant features yellow gold, opal, and diamond accents, demonstrating that even a top-quality opal needs minimal embellishment. The opal is sourced from Coober Pedy, South Australia, showcasing a yellowish-white base color with a stunning play of color on its surface. This play of color, commonly called an opal's "fire," displays some of the rarest hues in opals—red, orange, and gold. Despite the common misconception, these vibrant colors lead many to call them "fire opals."
The pear-shaped opal is substantial in size, measuring ¾ inches long, and is adorned with a decorative gold trim featuring baguette and round diamond accents, adding sparkle to the piece. This pendant is versatile enough to be worn high against the skin or lower over a blouse, making it a fantastic accessory for any occasion.
