Spessartite is a striking and rare type of garnet, known for its bold sunset-orange color. This exquisite round gem originates from a new source in Loliondo, Tanzania, celebrated for producing golden-orange gems with lighter tones compared to other sources. Traces of iron and manganese give spessartite its vibrant orange color; gems exhibiting a golden undertone typically contain more manganese.

This particular spessartite features two types of inclusions: white 'sugar crystals' and black spots, which serve as indicators of its origin and are often difficult to see with the naked eye. It has been cut into a Portuguese round shape, enhancing its brilliance even in low lighting while effectively concealing any imperfections.

We have set this stunning gem in a modern white gold halo pendant mount, designed to showcase its unique color beautifully.

Details: 14k white gold pendant set with a 1.37ct round spessartite garnet (Loliondo, Tanzania, untreated) and 0.21ct diamond accents (I1 GH).
