Onyx and diamond jewelry was particularly popular in the late 1920s and 1930s, marking the end of the Art Deco period. Most items from this era consisted of smaller pieces of square or oval onyx, often adorned with delicate gold overlays or diamonds set in the center. This pendant, however, stands out due to its impressive design.
Measuring an impressive two inches in length, it features an ornate white gold fitting, further embellished with a pearl and two fine diamonds. The influence of Art Deco is evident in the piece's stark black-and-white color scheme and geometric shape.
