Sculptural Platinum Art Deco Diamond Engagement Ring

This ring shows coveted Art Deco design details. The ring, crafted in platinum circa 1925, has two planes of symmetry yet is incredibly intricate! The top of the ring features integral prongs that rise from the shank to hold the center diamond, where the prongs are split. Around the center are low areas set with pavé diamond accents. Beneath the diamond are filigreed panels and delicate scrolls where the shank meets the top. The entire platinum surface is finished with hand engraving and milgrain work, making it a wearable piece of art. The center Old European cut diamond has a feather inclusion and a natural on the girdle. However, it is still almost entirely eye-clean and original to the piece, making this I2 grade a bargain and keeping this ring affordable!
