Featuring a vivid Burmese red spinel, this elegant pendant showcases a gemstone celebrated for its rich hue, so striking that it closely rivals the finest rubies. Natural spinel rarely forms in large sizes because the trace element chromium, which imparts the vivid red color, also slows down crystal growth. To address this, we creatively designed a custom frame for the spinel, setting it between two channels of white gold.
Instead of a standard bail at the top of the pendant, we incorporated a beautiful fleur-de-lis style accent with an elegant curlicue twist. The spinel truly comes to life in natural light, where flashes of pink and orange sparkle from the deep red gem.

Details: 14k white gold pendant featuring a 0.45ct round Burmese red spinel and 0.08ct diamond accents (SI GH). The pendant measures just over 1 inch in length.
