Rare Hyalite Opal Pendant "Daylight Fluorescent Opal"

If you’re a fan of rare opals or enjoy the black-light rave scene, this unique fluorescent opal pendant might be perfect for you! This gemstone is a Mexican hyalite opal, a subspecies of fire opal that can be finely faceted. This particular piece is notably large and of high quality for its species. The opal is colorless and transparent but reacts to UV fluorescent light, producing a striking neon green glow (think highlighter green).

The first image shows the pendant under a black light, while the latter two images show it under standard LED lighting. These opals are sometimes called “daylight fluorescent opals” because they are highly reactive to UV light, causing even a small amount of UV spectrum in daylight to create a subtle green glow. Cool, right? 

To keep the focus on the eye-catching opal center stone, we designed the white gold pendant in a simple style, accentuating the opal with a trio of diamonds for added sparkle.
