Platinum Engagement Ring Set with Peachy Pink Tourmaline

This ring combines a vintage platinum engagement ring mounting and one of our beautiful tourmalines. The Deco mounting came to us missing the center stone and prongs, which allowed us the creative freedom to choose something special to sit in. We picked this gem from a recent discovery of “sunset” colored tourmaline in Nigeria. Most pink tourmalines are just that: pink. We have never known them to have orange tones until now. These Nigerian tourmalines showcase a true peachy-pink hue, blending soft rose with warm orange for a genuinely stunning color. This is a gem with no rival, more pink than an imperial topaz and brighter than a padparadscha sapphire. This oval tourmaline was cut by one of our favorite lapidaries, and is a great size and a luscious color that we fawn over; photos don’t do it justice. The peachy pink tourmaline is set in a modern rose gold head, which nestles between the diamond-accented arms of the vintage platinum setting. Magnificent!
