Platinum Engagement Ring Set with Peachy Pink Tourmaline

This ring features a vintage platinum engagement ring mounting with a stunning tourmaline. The Deco mounting arrived at our facility without its center stone and prongs, giving us the creative freedom to select a special gem to replace it. We chose this tourmaline from a recent find of "sunset" colored stones in Nigeria. While most pink tourmalines are simply that—pink—this one is unique as it showcases beautiful orange tones. These Nigerian tourmalines display a delightful peachy-pink hue, blending soft rose with warm orange for a striking color. This gem stands unparalleled, with a color that is more vibrant than an imperial topaz and brighter than a padparadscha sapphire. 

The oval tourmaline, weighing 3.34 carats, was expertly cut by one of our favorite lapidaries. It boasts a luscious color we adore; photos don't capture its beauty. The peachy-pink tourmaline is set in a modern rose gold head nestled between the diamond-accented arms of the vintage platinum setting. It is magnificent!
