Modern Estate Sapphire & Diamond Hinged Pendant

This elegant pendant was sourced from the estate of a local gem collector who had a passion for fine sapphires. The center gem in this pendant is a deep medium-dark blue with none of the green or violet undertones that many sapphires can have. The sapphire is prong set, dangling into an oval frame of textured white gold and suspended from a diamond-set bail. While the sapphire is not very large, it makes up for its size with intense color and excellent cutting, such that the blue sparkle jumps out from the modern design. Additionally, the framed mounting lends the gem an enhanced presence on the neckline.
