Mint Tourmaline & Diamond Pendant

Before African paraiba-type tourmalines took the gem world by storm, rare teal, mint, and sea-foam-colored tourmalines were discovered in Afghanistan. These gems may not contain copper, but they glow with a beautiful mint green color, such as the gem set in this pendant. We tend to set these in white gold since it allows the subtle blue undertones to shine through the mint-green base color of the gem. This one is accented with sprays of diamonds that are interwoven above the gem, giving the piece grace and movement. The gem is sparkly since it was cut into a custom "pillow cushion" by renowned lapidary Clay Zava. It measures a sizable 1.25 inches long. This pendant is a perfect tribute to the rare beauty of Afghan tourmaline, with its luminous mint-green glow and elegant diamond accents adding a touch of grace and movement.
