Mid-Century Marquise Diamond Engagement Ring

This stunning mid-century engagement ring is a true survivor, arriving in new-old-stock, unworn condition, having been purchased from the estate of a retired jeweler. It was created early in the history of marquise-cut diamonds, when they first gained popularity. The marquise cut was favored among those with long fingers since it covers more square footage on the hand and looks especially elegant. This natural diamond is super fine, with a superb cut that sparkles from every angle. It is set with a single diamond accent on either side, but a flat white gold area also appears to be a baguette at first glance. The white diamonds are set in white gold, a neutral and more durable metal, but the shank of the ring is made of yellow gold. This best-of-both-worlds setting means it will go with everything- a perfect engagement ring.
