Fabulous Platinum 15ct Blue Zircon & Diamond Pendant

Originally part of an antique platinum and diamond watch, this pendant retains a touch of its past—look closely at the side and you'll spot the small opening where the watch stem was once removed. Although the watch no longer functions, we wanted to preserve the exquisite Art Deco case, which features stunning details, including the finest round and baguette diamonds, with each piece individually hinged. 

To transform the watch into a pendant, we removed the bottom lug and converted the top lug into a bail. After completing the conversion and removing the watch's inner workings, we needed a new centerpiece to complement this exceptional frame. Luckily, our favorite lapidary had just finished cutting a round zircon that is both rare in size and color, making it a perfect fit. 

We custom-designed prongs to hold the zircon just above the diamond halo, making it the centerpiece of a truly remarkable necklace. The pendant measures approximately 1.5 inches in length, and the zircon is a 14mm round stone. This natural blue zircon is a true rarity, boasting a stunning teal-blue color, excellent clarity, and brilliance. 

The diamond framework is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, showcasing the finest platinum and diamond work imaginable. This one-of-a-kind pendant seamlessly blends history with artistry, breathing new life into an antique treasure while highlighting a genuinely exceptional natural blue zircon—an heirloom in the making.
