Edwardian Platinum & Diamond Filigree Cluster Ring
Edwardian Platinum & Diamond Filigree Cluster Ring
SKU:88810669
This stunning platinum and antique-cut diamond ring is a knuckle-to-knuckle showstopper! While many vintage cocktail rings are typically linked to the Art Deco period, this particular piece predates that era by 20 years. Crafted just after the turn of the century, this ring originates from the Edwardian or Art Nouveau period, with the key distinction being that it was made by hand using platinum wirework before die-struck rings were introduced.
The ring boasts a rectangular outline, showcasing a central cluster of diamonds arranged in the shape of a flower. Additional diamonds are set at the corners, where the shank rises to meet the top of the ring. Each diamond is individually bezel-set, allowing the ring to sit low on the finger, making it surprisingly comfortable for a larger piece. It can easily be resized to fit any ring size and is in excellent condition.
Details: This antique platinum ring is set with 1.20 carats of natural old European-cut diamonds, averaging SI clarity and IJ color and dating back to around 1910.
