Custom Platinum Ring with Blue-Violet Color Shift Spinel

The center natural spinel is a rare Sri Lankan gem, classified as a violet spinel. Still, it shifts in color under different lighting conditions, from a grey-violet blue in natural light to a warmer lilac purple indoors. Our premier cutter, Anura, cut it into an oval that is not too deep, appearing closer to 4cts than its weight suggests. We chose this ring mounting because the slight grey hue of the platinum serves as a neutral backdrop for the violet hues in the spinel, allowing them to pop. The spinel is flanked by trios of round and marquise diamonds on either side, making an even more extensive presentation on the hand. The mounting boasts a classic look with modern vibes, thanks to its curving lines and fancy-shaped gemstones - indeed, a work of art.
