Color Change Alexandrite & Diamond Engagement Ring

Fine natural alexandrite engagement rings have been rising in popularity since they are so unique. Few women have a stone as beautiful and rare as this on their fingers! We designed this white gold engagement ring around the center alexandrite. It features an oval halo of diamonds, with a delicate split shank, and is set with diamonds. The high points of the white gold are adorned with delicate milgrain detailing. At the same time, intricate vintage-style filigree embellishes the side gallery, creating an elegant frame for the fine-quality oval natural alexandrite, which sits securely at the center in a low-profile setting. The gem appears to be a gorgeous teal green in daylight or under LED light, but under incandescent light, it changes to a warm, raspberry-red hue. Photos cannot capture the depth of color change on the red side of the spectrum. This alexandrite is quite clean, with only one minor inclusion, which is mostly hidden and does not impact the gem's durability. It was sourced from an old collection, so we do not know its origin - we think it is most likely Brazilian, but it could be an exceptional Indian stone. This alexandrite ring offers the ideal size, which is large enough to showcase great color and sparkle, yet remains under 1ct in size to keep the price reasonable. Despite the price tag, this represents an excellent value for the lucky lady who gets it!
