Chunky Gold Ring with Raspberry Red Rhodolite

This mid-century ring mount came to our shop without its center gem, but its unique Romanesque sculpted design immediately caught our attention, making it a keeper. Underneath the gem is a hidden filigree that adds a special touch for the wearer.

We selected this stunning rhodolite garnet to serve as the new centerpiece of the ring. Not only is it large—nearly 10mm across—but it also boasts a fantastic color. Rhodolite is a unique blend of two red varieties of garnet—almandine and pyrope—that merge to create a rarer purplish-red hue. The color of this gem reminds us of ripe raspberries or fresh summer cherries, showcasing vibrant red tones intermingled with intense purple and pink hues. 

In person, this gem is even more beautiful and sparkly than what photographs can convey. This fabulous ring is perfect for anyone with a January birthday or for those who adore this rich shade of red.
