Bold yet refined, this Art Deco engagement ring is a geometric masterpiece. The design features square and triangular shapes at the center, with additional triangular cutouts in the filigree gallery for added detail. At its heart is an old mine-cut cushion diamond, dating to the mid-19th century, around 60 to 80 years before the ring itself was made.
In the 1920s, a jeweler crafted this striking setting to house the antique diamond, adding trilliant-cut blue sapphires in triangular bezels on either side. These sapphires are lab-grown, original to the piece, and in excellent condition. The ring was made by Belais, a prominent American jeweler known for inventing high-karat white gold. You can still see a hint of that soft yellowish glow along the sides, though we're happy to rhodium plate it for a brighter finish, if preferred.
Details: Antique 18k white gold engagement ring set with a .25ct old mine cut diamond (SI IJ) and .30ctw trilliant synthetic blue sapphire, made by "Belais" circa 1925.
