While many Art Deco rings were grandly designed and highly impractical, we also see examples like this that were designed for regular wear. This antique ring, circa 1925, is crafted in platinum in a low-profile design that is exceptionally comfortable for everyday wear. The center diamond is a 1/4-carat Old Euro cut with diamond and sapphire* accents. The sapphires are cut in caliber and serve to emphasize the geometric design. The platinum is pierced and carved further to add geometry and interest to the ring design. While this ring is not huge, it makes up for the lack of size with added detail, and it looks fantastic on the hand. It is easily sizable and could be used as an engagement or right-hand ring.
*While the diamonds in this ring are natural, the sapphires are synthetic, original, and period-correct and show some abrasions.
