Antique Rose Gold & Rose Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

This original antique diamond engagement ring is truly a treasure, nearly 200 years old! Crafted in northern Europe around 1830, it is made of rich 14k rose gold. Unlike the pink tone of modern rose gold, this gold has a subtle rosy hue due to the presence of copper in the alloy.

The ring features an oval rose-cut diamond that is almost 1 carat in size, which sparkles brilliantly in low light. Additional rose-cut diamonds trail down the sides of the band. These flat-backed, domed diamonds are set against a foil backing, which was considered high-tech jewelry in the Georgian era. 

The ring has developed a beautiful patina over time. While the black appearance can be removed at the buyer's request, it serves as proof of the ring's age and is rare to find intact. This ring is in excellent condition and ready for its next lucky owner!
