Antique Platinum Bezel-Set Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring

This slim-lined and elegant antique diamond engagement ring was made circa 1930. This bezel-set solitaire shows the transition to more practical and understated designs that occurred near the end of the Art Deco period. The center diamond is an Old European cut and is original to the ring, measuring just under 3/4ct. It is set in a thin platinum bezel, then framed with another rim of platinum, then set on a thin platinum shank - these design traits combine to make the diamond appear larger than its weight suggests. The natural diamond does contain a few inclusions, but the beautiful antique cut well hides these and is not noticeable to the eye. The ring is graceful on the hand, sits low, and perfectly blends elegant antique design with everyday wearability. This ring is currently size 6 and is sizeable in any size.
