Antique Eye-Shaped Montana Sapphire & Diamond Ring

This striking 'eye' or 'boat'-shaped ring came to us with a damaged center stone, but its exceptional craftsmanship made it well worth restoring. We carefully refurbished the Edwardian-era platinum-over-yellow gold mounting and hand-selected a new center stone to complete the piece, choosing a breathtaking navy blue sapphire to take center stage.

Two sizable old mine-cut diamonds, which have a subtle champagne hue, flank the center, enhancing the ring's timeless elegance. The impressive round sapphire originates from Montana, USA, and showcases a lovely blue hue with hints of violet, a rare trait since most Montana sapphires have a green undertone.

Although not visible from above, the ring features intricate filigree work on its sides, which is in excellent condition. It is easily adjustable to fit any finger size, making it a perfect choice for a sapphire engagement ring or a vintage right-hand option. 

Details: Antique eye-shaped ring in platinum-topped 14k yellow gold set with a 2.53ct round teal-blue sapphire (Montana, heat-treated only) and .34ctw of old mine-cut diamond accents (SI2 MN) with filigree sides—the mounting dates to circa 1910.
