The Art Nouveau period was fleeting; we have a few precious examples of jewelry from this era, as the Art Deco period quickly dominated the world of jewelry design. Furthermore, most jewelers at the time preferred organic materials and themes, such as pearls and opals, resulting in a scarcity of diamond pieces from this period. This exceptional antique ring was crafted circa 1905 in France, at the height of the Nouveau movement. The ring's top is crafted from platinum, meticulously layered over 18k yellow gold to provide a secure and elegant setting for the diamonds. Three larger diamonds are arranged diagonally across the finger, drawing attention to the centerpiece, while old rose-cut diamonds gracefully swirl around them, enhancing the design with their vintage charm.
