Vintage Freeform Ring with Multicolor Montana Sapphires
Vintage Freeform Ring with Multicolor Montana Sapphires
SKU:705149
This ring features a stunning combination of freeform organic designs and sought-after Montana sapphires in various colors. Crafted by a local lapidary who mined the sapphires in Rock Creek, Montana, during the 1970s, the ring showcases a fluid, organic design with tendrils of gold elegantly holding the sapphires.
These sapphires are not small! The largest gem measures 6mm, while the smallest is 4mm across. At first glance, the sapphires appear to be a teal color. Still, upon closer inspection, you'll notice two genuine teal sapphires, one forest green sapphire, one silvery blue sapphire, and one purple-grey sapphire—all totaling nearly 4 carats of Montana sapphires!
Currently, the ring is sized for larger fingers (size 10) but can easily be resized to fit virtually anyone.
Details: Custom 14k yellow gold freeform sapphire ring set with a minimum of 3.50ctw of round Montana sapphires (assumed heat-treated, Montana USA origin), circa 1975.
