Art Deco Faceted Carnelian Pendant
Art Deco Faceted Carnelian Pendant
SKU:88810517
This stunning carnelian pendant is a relic from the 1930s. Picture an elegant lady in flapper attire, adorned with this captivating pendant against a daring plunging neckline. The late Art Deco period was characterized by using more understated and affordable materials, which were innovatively crafted to create interesting jewelry. This carnelian stone, technically an orange variety of agate, has been rose cut, featuring a flat back and faceted top that beautifully captures the light. The facets give it a distinctive Deco geometric vibe. The semi-translucent carnelian is set in an ornate gold bezel, which retains its patina (please let us know if you would like it polished) for an understated yet dramatic appearance. This pendant would pair wonderfully with other earth tones or create a striking contrast against black. Simply fabulous!
Details: Art Deco pendant in 14k yellow gold set with a rose-cut carnelian cabochon, circa 1930s.
